  • A special assembly was held to mark Library Day 2009 and World Population Day. In the assembly three students were awarded best reader of the year 2009. The students were selected based on the number of books they read in the year 2009. First place was awarded to Rashfa from 8B, who have read the most number of books. The second and third place was awarded to Saaif from 8B and Sajida from 8A respectively. The prize and the certificates were issued by the superintendent of Educational Unit of South Province, Ms. Fathmath Naseer. She addressed in today’s assembly. She appreciated Seenu Atoll School students for the well disciplined matters they have shown. She also requested the students to build a positive thinking and a positive attitude towards school, friends and others which will enable them to become responsible students.


    To mark the World Population Day, Rashfa from 8B delivered a speech about the increase in population and the impact of it. Concluding her speech she requested all her colleagues to undertake a pledge from today, not to destroy any property of the school and to retain it in its full strength and capacity for the next generation.
